About the founder and owner
Vermont Home Painting was established in 2017 by John Summa, a veteran painter who has resided in Burlington for 13 years. John has over 10 years of painting experience, working for prestigious painting outfits such as Gallant’s Painting, Inc., where he painted vintage estates in Kennebunkport, ME and surrounding areas. John acquired an understanding of interior design as a wall-paperer, painter and dry-wall repair expert while employed by Danforth Interior Designs, now based in Staunton, VA, but originally servicing homeowners in Fairfield County, Connecticut, mostly in the towns of Darien, Greenwich, Westport, and Stamford. A worldly philosopher/teacher, author, recreational filmmaker, occasional journalist, former professional freestyle skier (ranked nationally) and adoptive father, John’s life-long passions for both painting and defense of our eco-system have merged into providing environmentally safe interior painting solutions.
